Here are some of the questions we get asked almost every year.
Q: When is the parade?
A: We haven’t had a watermelon parade through Pardeeville in over 20 years now. If we ever grow to the size of a two day festival, we would love to have a staff of volunteers to put together and run a parade.
Q: Do you serve alcohol?
A: To keep our festival family friendly, we do not serve alcohol during our event. We don’t prohibit you bringing your adult beverages to the festival, as long as you follow the rules of the village of Pardeeville and Chandler Park while attending the festival.
Q: Do you have fireworks?
A: We do not have fireworks during our festival.
Q: Can we host a kickball / volleyball / bag tournament during the festival?
A: We are always looking to expand our festival and it’s offerings, so as long as you are willing to volunteer and run that portion of it – we are open to talking with you. We have had volleyball tournaments in the past for a few years, so please contact us to discuss this.
Q: I am a food vendor, can I set up during the festival?
A: We have had some food vendors in the past, please contact us so we can discuss partnering with our festival offerings. We don’t typically allow food trucks as we offer food ourselves through the concession stand – and proceeds from that go back into our festival and the group of volunteers that assist with running the concession stand. But please contact us if you are interested and we can come to an agreement.
