Event schedule for 2016


Here is the events for the Pardeeville Watermelon Festival held the first Saturday in September on the grounds of Chandler Park in Pardeeville, Wisconsin.


Grounds Open
Artists & vendor fair (you can sign up for a spot at the festival by filling the form here), children’s games hosted by Pardeeville High School Student Council, bounce house, music, concession stand hosted by Pardeeville PTO, and free fresh-sliced watermelon all day.

And under the pavilion, the local coloring contest is showcased from artists from Pardeeville and St. John's Elementary Schools.

10:00AM
Watermelon Carving begins
Pick up a watermelon and start carving right away. Carvings are judged at 1:15pm.

10:15AM
RETURNING: Wayne the Wizard
There will be plenty of fun and audience participation during the magic and comedy ventriloquism show. Following the stage show, Wayne the Wizard will make free balloon sculptures for all. www.waynethewizard.com

11:00AM
Free Hay Dive for the Kids
A big hit the last few years, this year we have three age divisions. Kids 0-12 get to dig for prizes and candy!

Largest Watermelon weigh-in
Bring your watermelons in to get weighed during our first scheduled Championship Event

Watermelon Carving turn in
All carvings should be turned in for judging.

Championship Events begin
We're trying something new this year. Events will be called and you show up and sign up just before you eat or spit. Make sure to listen for category.

About our festival


The Pardeeville Watermelon Festival is an annual fall festival held the first Saturday after Labor Day in September, hosted in beautiful Chandler Park. It is held in Pardeeville, WI, USA, home of the U.S. Watermelon Speed-Eating and Seed-Spitting Championships, Inc. This year's event will mark the 48th anniversary.
